For nature lovers |
|
Whatever time of year you visit there
is a wide variety of flora and fauna on our front door.
There is plentiful bird activity down by the pond, an active
badger set within the grounds and the surrounding fields are full of
Red Devon show cattle. |
|
|
For walkers and cyclists |
|
Whether
you fancy a gentle amble or an energetic hike there are
three footpaths to choose from which lead from the Cottage
to Ham Hill Country Park, historic Montacute House and the
Chinnocks. They also link with the Leland Trail, the
Monarch’s Way, Liberty and River Parrett Trails. Just think
how lovely it will feel to return to the comfort of Bagnell
Cottage after your exertions for a sit down and a lovely cup
of tea! |

home cooked lunch, Bagnell Cottage is a wonderfully tranquil
environment, perfect for taking a break and unwinding. |

|
Golf, horse riding and fishing

Mendips. |

drink |
|
Sample local
produce at one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants in the
area. You can also try some Somerset smoked eel at the
famous Brown and Forrest Smokery, some Somerset Cider Brandy

spoilt for choice! |

many famous and beautiful gardens to visit together with National

the public as part of Somerset Art Works. There are
cinemas in Weymouth, Lyme Regis and Yeovil and for the theatre you could visit
Taunton, Yeovil or Lyme Regis - all close by. |
